During Black History Month 2020, I posted snippets of Black History on my Instagram story. These stories highlighted less prominent historical figures, such as William Still, Claudette Colvin, and Sally St. Clair, as well as the lesser known contributions of more talked-about Black heroes, such as Harriet Tubman's role in the Combahee River Raid, and Sojourner Truth's role at American suffragist conventions. I utilized Instagram's poll and question stickers as well as the direct message feature to poll my followers and ask who they were interested in hearing about, what they were learning, and receive feedback. NPR, the National Museum of African American History and Culture's website, and History.com were my main sources.
